I have to say I truly felt like a princess (or should I say Duchess) in this lilac Middleton dress. It's so feminine and and the pleats give a flattering finish.The photos don't really capture how vivid the colour is and how much of an impression the dress makes.

I love the lace detail at the bust and the tiny buttons on the back (photo below) and the fact that it has little capped sleeves makes me feel more comfortable as I don't like my arms exposed in strapless dresses. Kaliko have really created the perfect summer event dress in my opinion. It's demure enough for a church wedding but dressy enough for a day at the races and would event suit a more mature lady as a mother of the bride outfit in the more subtle pink shade.

I'm off to Alice's wedding this weekend up in Sheffield with Martyn and I'm really looking forward to it. It's amazing to think that I met Alice through this blog, struck up a friendship through letters and now I'm sharing her big day with her. The internet can be a wonderful place and I feel lucky to have made connections with some lovely ladies through it. I even met Martyn online so you could say that the internet has been pretty life changing for me. I love having blogger friends all over the country and being able to chat to people with lots in common with me is something I never get tired of.


If you've got any tips about places I should visit in Sheffield please let me know and I want to break up the drive back to South Wales so would love some ideas of places to visit on the way back.

I was recently sent a few items from Yours Clothing to try out and share my thoughts on them. I wore Yours Clothing bodycon dress when I went to the Making of Harry Potter tour and I loved it, I wouldn't normally wear anything tight but I loved this dress and there was plenty of room in it which meant that I didn't feel uncomfortable.

I've also been trying out this rather lovely animal print tunic which is very me and I've been wearing it to work and on the weekends quite a lot. I love the print, the pleated detail on the front and the lovely bow on the back. It was a tad chilly to pose without a cardi on so you can see the detail on the back here.

I was lucky enough to attend the Clothes Show Live with a few other bloggers on Saturday and hang out at the Echo Falls wine bar and take in all the sights. Will do a full post on this later in the week but this is what I wore to the clothes show:


The dress was provided by Zalando which has a HUGE selection of dresses from brands like Oasis, Darling and French Connection. They also have free delivery and returns which I will be taking advantage of in the future. I've also worn this dress in a night out with my Vivienne Westwood Melissa shoes, clutch bag and red lipstick. It's a great length for the day but is sassy enough to wear on a night out.

I've been fretting about what to wear to the Cardiff Blogs Jubilee Big Lunch for ages (if you live near Cardiff you should come!) I wanted a 50s style dress but nothing with a Union Jack or London type print on that I wouldn't be likely to wear again.

This was great news for me because I always see their clothes on ASOS or in New Look stores and like what I see but they only stock up to a size 14. I was able to pick something from the site to try out and I went with this navy dress .




I wore the dress to work when it was really hot a few days ago, it's nice and long so it's suitable for work and it is very light and cool. I wouldn't bare my legs in a short skirt or sit down for a picnic in one so this is the perfect length. I'm going to wear the dress with some red pumps, my Vivienne Westwood earrings that are red and a splash of lipstick (red, of course) when I'm celebrating the Jubilee.

I loved the silky material and the bright colour, it felt very luxurious. I think you could wear this to a wedding, to work with a blazer or on the weekend with some heels. It was fairly pricey at £80+ but it really is a great dress, very classic.
