I'm ill, cold and fed up(whinge) and I long for some glamour and sunshine. I blame Pan Am for the hours I've spent today looking at holidays in various exotic locations. I'm loving the show so far, it's no hard hitting drama but it's fun and oh so pretty.There is something for everyone: handsome pilots, gorgeous vintage fashion, espionage and exciting locations like Monaco and New York.



I went out today (after faffing on the internet for hours) and was inspired by Christina Ricci  (doesn't she has lovely big eyes?) to create a 60s inspired make up look and this is my attempt-


I suppose I should I have gone for nude lips but nevermind. I used my Lancome Art Liner, MAC Russian Red lipstick and Avon brow pencil. I was trying to get the Liz Taylor eyebrow look but it ended up a little more scouse brow.

Are you dreaming of a holiday in a warmer climate? Do you spend hours online when you should be doing something more important? Tumblr is a total life stealer, I love looking at Harry Potter/Mean Girls photos.

Sorry I'm letting you know so late in the day, only just got this poster. You still have time to pop along to the Carbootique if you are local and Northcote Lane doesn't start until 6 so why not pop along and shop whilst sipping one some of the lovely drinks they have in Milgi, my personal fave is the homemade lemonade.

Cardiff looked lovely in the sun today. This is the river Taff, on the one side is the Farmers Market on the other is the Millennium Stadium. (I used to work in one of the bars there when I was in uni)
The Riverside market is every Sunday at 10-2 and you can find out what types of produce is on sale here.
I bought some lovely falafel and some cupcakes for my mum and brother who were at home painting the living room whilst I was out enjoying myself.
I think the market is a great idea. It gives local producers a chance to sell affordable, fresh produce and helps to regenerate the area and build a sense of community. Some of the prices are also cheaper than the supermarkets and there is a lot less packaging and fuel used in the transportation of the good so it's a very cheap and ethical way to shop.


I popped into Wally's to get some American sweets for my brother, you can buy lots of neat things here like marshmallow fluff and Lucky Charms but they also have a great selection of spices, cheese and food from all over the world.

I popped into the great In Aid of Vintage fair in The Woodville pub today and there were loads of bargains and fantastic vintage pieces. It's great to see smaller vintage fairs doing well, some of the larger fairs charge £75 for a single space to sell and for small sellers that amount is a great risk. If you live near Cardiff I suggest you pop in to the next event (I'm sure I will pop the details up on here or twitter)

Not a very relaxing Sunday but very enjoyable!

Popped down to town today to look around the charity shops and this is what I wore-
Had a little play around on Picnik, curved the edges and played with the colours, very technical for me! I love this t shirt, I has a horse on it and I got it from a shop called Supre in New Zealand a few years ago. The scarf is from a charity shop, the skirt is Dorothy Perkins, the bag is from style369 and I'm wearing my fave cardi from asda.

I had lots of the usual things like pj's and perfume but these are my two favourite things I had for Christmas-

My brother got me these green candlesticks which I love and they remind me of Return to Oz. I really love coloured glass so this was a great present.

The is a Northcote Lane Market tomorrow night and it's the final one of the year so it's going to be a big event. It's in Milgi on City Road, Cardiff.

Don't laugh but I tried to do a mini photo shoot in the woods with my rubbish camera because I thought it would be festive and a bit more professional than taking photos in my living room but it felt a bit daft. I'm not good as posing and I'm not a good photographer so wont be doing that again...

You might find a great, unique gift which is better than giving someone a gift that you got in a 3 for 2 offer from Boots!
I am also currently writing a contribution for We Are Cardiff which is pretty exciting.

A bit last minute I know but I thought I would let you know that Vintage Pretty is at Buffalo this tomorrow!
There will be 10 goody bags to the first through the door and they be stuffed with money off vouchers and free trinkets!

Even though the venue has chnaged there will still 16+ stalls, selling handmade jewellery and accessories, customised clothing, homeware, original artwork, and paper and fabric craft.
Entry is free, and they are open for business 12-5pm.

Make sure you wrap up warm because it's freezing!!

Just a quick post to let you know there will be a jumble sale on the 29th of November at the The White Rose Information & Resource Centre, New Tredegar. You can get a train to New Tredegar from Cardiff and on the way back you could stop off at Bargoed which I assure you has the best charity shops in the valleys.



It all kicks off at 11am and there will be bric-a-brac stalls, jewellery, books and eastern cuisine on offer.

I found some adorable things this week. I stumbled upon lovely tea cups in the Well of Hope charity shop in Ystrad Mynach and they were only 75p for all three, what a bargain! I had to rummage around in a box of boring plates and these were right at the bottom.

My dressing table is full of so much clutter and I am forever losing my earrings so I decided to use one of the the cup and saucers to house all of my things and I think it looks pretty cute.
